The World Premiere of the Hobbit!
Sorry I hadn't posted this earlier, I was in Wellington!
The World Premiere was awesome...apart from the fact afterwards i could barely move my legs and Hugo Weaving was to fast.....
Well, it was great! Peter Jackson was to short though. To hard to get a photo of him. Camera makes him look tall.
Some photos!

Review on:The Hobbit:An unexpected Journey Mini Figures
Today in the shops, Something caught my eye.Seems now the world is selling mini figurines of the Hobbit.
The packaging is nice, with a view of the map in the background and the main characters in the front.
On the top right corner, there is red dot saying - Series 1 - my guess is there will be more.
Opening the packaging, I discover 2 things: the figure is Balin the Dwarf, and instead of being in color, he is painted silver.Quite a nice touch.
The detail is quite stunning, with perfect patterns on his clothes and weapons. You can see his sword, but he also has his dagger, strapped to his belt on his back.Watch out! Here comes Balin!

Hobbit sculptures installed on NZ Post
it took eight designers, 56 tonnes of concrete and a whole load of lights to create NZ Post's monument to The Hobbit empire.
NZ Post approached Sir Richard Taylor and Weta Workshop in July to come up with a design for their Waterloo Quay building to celebrate The Hobbit premiere next month.
The team soon came back with a series of design options and a silhouetted depiction of Bilbo Baggins and his 13 dwarf companions was chosen.
The silhouettes will be lit up each night to stand out against the building five floors up and light up Wellington's skyline.
But while the silhouette style design was sure to be impressive, engineering a way for the six metre tall figures to withstand what could possibly be Wellington's windiest corner proved to be a challenge.

Wellington Airport unveils new Gollum sculpture
A massive installation of Tolkien's creepy character Gollum has been unveiled at Wellington Airport ahead of The Hobbit premiere.
The 12-metre installation, created by Weta Workshop, features Gollum's upper torso and face, with his right arm outstretched and reaching for one of a number of large fish also created by the studio.
The installation is suspended from the ceiling in the airport's food court.
The pale, scrawny and half-nude Gollum, who featured in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, along with The Hobbit, is a CGI character performed by actor Andy Serkis.
Weta's Sir Richard Taylor officially unveiled the installation at 9 this morning. A photo posted online showed crew putting the finishing touches on the installation about 4am.
“It took a lot of long nights to pull this off and our project manager hasn't slept for days,” says Mr Taylor. “The film is living beyond our work in the film.”
The first movie of The Hobbit trilogy, directed by Sir Peter Jackson, will go on global release December 14.
Wellington is spending $1.1 million on activities in the week of the premiere, temporarily calling itself "The Middle of Middle-earth".
Darn...SO EXCITING!! -Hobbit

New pictures of Thranduil revealed at the Frankfurt Book Fair
The German fan site Herr-der-Ringe-Film has posted new pictures from The Hobbit movies that are currently on display at the Frankfurt Book Fair. The picture below depicts Lee Pace, as Thranduil. Thranduil is the king of the elves of Mirkwood, and father to Legolas. Here, we see him in an intricate silver costume with his head adorned by a silver crown entwined with leaves. Another new picture depicts Legolas aiming his bow and arrow towards the camera. There’s also a great picture of Elrond in armor, already revealed to be in the Hobbit movie calendar.

Visit to Weta Cave Wellington
Yesterday, I visited the Weta Cave in Wellington. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's a building where all the movies weta workshops has ever worked on and is working on have items there, mainly LOTR,Avatar,District 9 and.......The Hobbit.
Also, there was a map that had places of middle-earth on places of N.Z for example, near where I live was Rivendell, further north was Mordor and perfectly, The southern Alps were the Misty Mountains.
So, The first area I visited was... The LOTR Mini Mueseum. in one corner they had ALL the LOTR Collectibles that were the only ones in the world that haven't been sold out! But of course, They're not for sale.
But, Right next to that was a large are sealed by glass, a poster of The Hobbit and black cloth. (Sounds like a secret) on it was written DO NOT OPEN UNTIL DECEMBER 14TH! Right, I'm coming back then.
Also, there was a map that had places of middle-earth on places of N.Z for example, near where I live was Rivendell, further north was Mordor and perfectly, The southern Alps were the Misty Mountains.
And lets not forget the statue of Smaug the Dragon, made out of Bronze, which can be bought for $600.
They also had a real size statue of Lurtz, that gigantic Uruk-hai...he's huge. Like as tall as the roof of an average house. I'm glad he's fake.

New Argentinian Hobbit Movie Poster
This latest, Argentinian poster was revealed recently by Spanish movie poster site Cine1. In it, we see the great eagles soaring above a forest, with Gandalf and Thorin (with weapons drawn) in the foreground. As with many of the ‘new’ posters coming out lately, this one is a scene taken from the Hobbit scroll put out by Warner Bros. in early September. Still, it’s a nice close-up and a nice shot for a poster.
