Unfinished Tales - Of Tuor and His Coming to Gondolin.

I recently acquired the book 'Unfinshed Tales', which is a collection Tolkiens unfinished works. I'm doing a review on one of the works, 'Of Tuor and His Coming to Gondolin'

This story is very interesting. It sets Tuor, son of Huor brother of Hurin (Who has his own book The Tale of the Children of Hurin)
in the times when Morgoth gripped Beleriand and was close to ruling.
Tuor sets off to find the hidden city 'Gondolin' whose king was friends with his father, Huor.

He encounters many things, ruins, gods, and even his brother, although their meeting was short lived.

Overall, I give this story a rating of ..  7.5/10

Lack of Posts

Greetings all! Its been quite a while since my last post, and I feel the need to explain why I'm not posting as often as I used to.
I'll say it straight out.

I'm losing ideas and I need help.

I'm not as excited as I used to be, and, frankly, I can't think of much to post. This is why, I need help. I'm not talking about giving ideas for what to post, I mean a volunteer. I need a volunteer for the blog who will post, well, posts on this blog. I recently sent an email to a photography site, asking for a partnership, although I was denied. (Understandaly of course! They have a lot on their site.)

If I don't receive ideas and volunteers soon, then I'm afraid this blog may come to an early close.

The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug - Review

This review on an incredible movie, is by yours truly.

The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug is the second movie in the trilogy 'The Hobbit' taking place 60 years before the events of the much-known Lord of The Rings, filmed by Peter Jackson.

This film is very fast-paced and, at some points, a bit too fast-paced. During some sequences at the start of the movie, I felt like it was cutting through scenes very quickly without giving the audience much indication of the current events. However, as the film progressed, scenes became more compact and kept my heart racing in tension for what was going to happen next.
The sequence in Beorn's house was, in my view, the least explained and quickest scene that was carried out in the movie.
The film is much better than the first ( The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey ) and I absolutely loved it.
Mirkwood was portrayed very accurately,  and was not a disappointment.
Compared to the book, this is not a very sturdy account of the events in the book, and compared to the book I give it: 5.6/10.0
But, as a movie on its own, I give it: 9.5/10

The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug - Released!

Finally, after yet another, long, year of waiting, THE HOBBIT: DESOLATION OF SMAUG has arrived!  Millions of fans around the globe are highly excited for this movie. Just around 50 minutes ago, TH:DoS was released in some parts of the U.S.A.  I must say, Thank you, thank YOU so much for coming with me yet another year for this amazing trilogy!  365 days ago, this blog was in the exact same position of the Hobbits release.

Several reviews (Is it just me,or is the font of the typing suddenly different?Oh well..) have rated that this movie is much better than the first, saying that the second Hobbit movie is much faster and is the very "action-packed, won't let down" type of film.
Take a moment, and think: who is your favorite character in The Hobbit ?
I will be doing a review on The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug in  a few days time! Thanks!
