Desolation of Smaug Extended Edition

Sorry its been so long. It was announced awhile back that the next Hobbit movies title was changing, for the better in my opinion. Comic-Con pics of the Hobbit cast were awesome! In other new we have a release date for the Extended Edition of Desolation of Smaug. It will be available in the UK on Nov. 3 and in the US Nov. 4. There will be 25 extra minutes of movie and over nine hours of special features.

You can read a full article about it here.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies - Official Teaser Trailer

The  teaser trailer for the final chapter in The Hobbit movie trilogy has been released! As Thorin and the dwarves remain in Erebor, Smaug assaults the lake-town of Dale (but with what outcome?)
The teaser also features the song Pippin sang in The Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King (2003) while in the company of Denethor in Minas Tirith. The final movie for the prequel is coming, the reason this blog is here!

P.S
Hi all! Its Hobbit, here, and I'm well aware I haven't posted in a fair while. I lost my steam for posting, and instead handed that job to Movie Fanatic (Many thanks!) for several months (hoping Fanatic will continue doing so, alongside my posting), and with less than 6 months to go for the final film, I am now very excited for this!
Stay Hobbity!

Peter Jackson says there will soon be a teaser trailer!

A few days ago Peter Jackson posted a status on FB, saying a full trailer will not come out till October. He also said that he gave Warner Bros. and teaser trailer to rate and so hopefully we will have that soon. Here is the link to the original FB post.

New title for The Hobbit 3

Earlier today Peter Jackson wrote on his Facebook page.

"Inside Information...
Our journey to make The Hobbit Trilogy has been in some ways like Bilbo's own, with hidden paths revealing their secrets to us as we've gone along. “There and Back Again” felt like the right name for the second of a two film telling of the quest to reclaim Erebor, when Bilbo’s arrival there, and departure, were both contained within the second film. But with three movies, it suddenly felt misplaced—after all, Bilbo has already arrived “there” in the "Desolation of Smaug".

When we did the premiere trip late last year, I had a quiet conversation with the studio about the idea of revisiting the title. We decided to keep an open mind until a cut of the film was ready to look at. We reached that point last week, and after viewing the movie, we all agreed there is now one title that feels completely appropriate.
And so: "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies" it is.
As Professor Tolkien intended, “There and Back Again” encompasses Bilbo’s entire adventure, so don’t be surprised if you see it used on a future box-set of all three movies.
Before then however, we have a film to finish, and much to share with you. It’s been a nice quiet time for us—Jabez and I happily editing away in a dark cave in Wellington—but those halcyon days are quickly coming to an end. It will soon be time to step into the light. Expect to see and hear much about The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies in the coming months.
And there’s also The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Extended Cut, which we’re in the process of finishing, with over 25 mins of new scenes, all scored with original music composed by Howard Shore.
It’ll be a fun year!"
